We are looking to recruit a part time Nail Tutor to deliver VTCT Nail Technology qualifications to age 19+ learners via our Advanced Learner Loan Contract.

What you will be doing
We are looking to recruit a Nail Tutor on a part time basis, to deliver VTCT Nail Technology qualifications to age 19+ learners via our Advanced Learner Loan Contract. This position is a fixed term contract, working 09:00 - 17:00 Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging training in Nail Technology - VTCT qualifications.
- Effectively engage learners with an in-depth and tailored training experience to support learners to prepare for employment or other progressions.
- Provide comprehensive support from enrolment to initial assessment through the delivery of individualised programme of learning, developing all aspects of an individuals employability journey.
- Produce and review an effective ILP in conjunction with each learner and their individual support needs.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans with the support of the IQA as well as contributing to the on-going development of new training materials and resources.
- Manage learner caseload and ensure timely completions and minimum achievement levels of 90%.
- Complete daily marking in timely manner, in order to provide detailed and focused feedback to the learner to support progression towards their individual goals.
- Deliver appropriate IAG to support the learner with their overall end goal.
- Work towards agreed Awarding Bodies requirements for delivery and assessment.
- Achieve Grade 2 – Good OTLAs
- Include Equality, Diversity, Safeguarding and Prevent in learning, in line with the qualifications the students are completing
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the learner throughout their period of learning.
- Attend team, standardisation and One to One meetings.
- Be available for OTL, IQA, EQA, and Ofsted visits as required.
- Complete CPD records appropriately and timely.
- Ensure manager is notified of any learners at risk or any issues immediately and withdrawals are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding of learners across the business and externally as appropriate, and to help prevent acts of radicalisation and extremism.
- Play an active part in promotion and awareness of Equality & Diversity across the business and externally as appropriate.
- The post holder may be required to undertake other such responsibilities as are reasonably commensurate with the status of this post.
Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
- Teaching qualification
- Assessors’ qualification
- L2 or L3 Nail Technology/Services qualification or equivalent
- A minimum of one years’ experience delivering Nail Technology/ Beauty qualifications
- An ability to effectively engage with people from diverse backgrounds
- Solid occupational competency in Nail Technology
- Knowledge of local services, organisations and agencies for signposting and support
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
- Level 2 Maths/English and ICT Functional Skills
